ANCC estimated that 84% of their endorsed candidates were elected during a tight poll that saw Liberals losing majority status in the Canadian parliament.

“We look forward to working with our new elected officials and we are confident that together, we will be able to achieve many initiatives of mutual interest,” wrote ANCC Ottawa office executive director Sevag Belian on his Facebook page.

“We also want to acknowledge the tireless efforts of all the other candidates and we wish them continued success in their future endeavors,” he added.

The Liberals are expected to win 156 seats, 21 fewer than they had in the last parliament. The Conservatives moved up from 95 seats to an estimated 122, while the NDP lost 15 seats to end up with 24.
