Yerevan Getting Ready For Ararat Anti-Terror 2019 Counter-terrorism Drills

Coordinated by the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center, the National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) organized a joint command-staff exercise on August 29 in Yerevan. Representatives of the Special Services and Security Bodies of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Krygyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in the exercises.

The NSS said in a news release that the drills were conducted as part of the preparations for the upcoming Ararat Anti-Terror 2019 joint Counter-Terrorism Military Exercises involving specialized bodies from CIS member countries. The event will take place September 25-26 in Armenia.

Issues related to anti-terror protection of fuel-energy complex facilities were also discussed during the exercise, the NSS said.
