The 2019 state budget entries of the Republic of Artsakh will increase by an additional 5 billion AMD, Head of the “Free Motherland” party, Arayig Harutyunian said on Facebook.

“Recently the Parliament of Artsakh approved the bill “On Making Amendments to the Code on the Subsurface of the Republic of Artsakh” initiated by MP Eduard Aghabegian, according to which the tax privilege for Base Metals mining company has been eliminated, as a result of which the state budget revenues will increase by an additional 5 billion AMD in 2019.
The government will have more opportunities to solve numerous socio-economic problems in our Republic”, wrote Arayig Harutyunian.
“I do not agree with the concerns that the adoption of the bill may hamper the further development of the company. Base Metals, apart from getting additional profits due to high production volumes and high copper prices, has proven that it has an experienced management system that has been famous for its reputation not only in the region, but also abroad. Base Metals is a reliable partner, and I am convinced that a long-term cooperation with the company is expected,” he concluded.
