Armenia coronavirus cases surge past 5,000

Armenia has reported 218 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number to 5,041.

The results of 973 tests have been negative.

According to the data of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 145 patients have recovered; a total of 2,164 people have now been discharged from hospital.

Sixty-four deaths have been reported, 25 patients with coronavirus have died because of other diseases.

The number of active cases is 2,788.
